Girlfriends on the radio

posted by Caryn FitzGerald , April 20 at 4:08pm

The invitation was an unexpected surprise but very welcomed.
The girlfriend getaway DFW offered the 5 girlfriends the opportunity to do promotional radio ads for the campaign.  Of course I said yes!
I arrived at the CBS radio studio bright and early (ok, it was really noon)

Parked next to another good looking Malibu!  (the red one is Nikki’s Malibu)

Leigh Ann Adam of 103.7 did an amazing continue reading »

Malibu Nikki Says Farewell

posted by Nicole Simmons , April 20 at 2:58pm

The time finally came for me to say farewell to my beautiful Chevy Malibu. This past month flew by way too fast, but it was definitely a fun month filled with so many adventures in the Malibu!
Driving a brand new 2010 Malibu to ”Girlfriend Getaway Missions” example: Central Market, Alicia Keys concert, Massage Envy was a blast in itself.  I still have one mission continue reading »

The Very Last Getaway…

posted by Holly Homer , April 19 at 9:20pm

I just want to thank Girlfriend Getaway and the North Texas Chevy Dealers for tickets to the Samsung Mobile 500.
Sunday I went with my husband, dad and brother and enjoyed pit tours, a yummy lunch and the dream of driving a driver in the intro…and then it continued to rain.
The race was canceled.
Monday I returned with my dad and 4 year old and we continue reading »

Driving to donate.

posted by Lea Ann Stundins , April 17 at 7:40pm

My little sidekick and I decided to take a trunkful of groceries to donate to the North Texas Food Bank, which is actually just about 10 minutes from my house, in Oak Cliff. The North Texas Food Bank is part of the Feeding America network of food banks across America.
The nice folks at Libby’s even sent me 2 cases of canned vegetables to add continue reading »

What I Will Miss About the Malibu…

posted by Holly Homer , April 16 at 6:12am

Despite the fact that all good things must end, it is a little difficult to hand over the Chevy Malibu.
I have become a little attached to it.
The boys are sad too.
It has become part of the family in a sweet way.
Here are a few things that I will miss…

A place to store necessities.

Music playing until I open the door.

A nice view of heaven.

Gentle directions.

Enjoying the view from the roof!

posted by Caryn FitzGerald , April 15 at 10:57am

I love the feeling of being in a wide open space, yet safely protected.

The Malibu encompasses it all!

If it isn’t enough to know the airbag is there…

The digital display lets you know it’s on…..

So you can relax, kick back and enjoy the view…..from the open sun roof!

In gratitude,

What we do when our kids are at school.

posted by Lea Ann Stundins , April 14 at 4:04pm

My dear children,
No, we don’t clean the house while you’re at school, dears. Or fret over what we’re going to cook for you and daddy for dinner. Or sit and pine away for you, holding your favorite teddy bear and leaking motherly tears of affection. Ok, maybe we pick up a Lego or two off the floor. Mostly so we don’t break a toe. continue reading »

Seat warmers for a sore back….

posted by Caryn FitzGerald , April 12 at 10:47am

My dear hubby is such an amazing man.  I recently mentioned how I’d love to have a custom built box for my vegetable garden.
Since I’m not one for manual labor the task fell to him by default.
When I left him he was smiling and raring to go…  the thrill of building something, sawing wood and making a mess of the garage is apparently very continue reading »
